Description
Computer-based multimedia production tools were selected to produce teaching materials based on specific learner characteristics and objectives. We have applied copyright and fair use guidelines when creating and using digital media.

Rationale
This artifact demonstrates the ability to examine media theory and practice and select appropriate media to meet educational objectives. Acquired, edited, and presented digital still images, audio, and video. An authoring tool was used to combine media elements for integrated delivery.

Interactive Multimedia Trends
Description
Recent trends in interactive multimedia to support effective instruction were searched, and selected interactive online books. I have created a digital textbook for Japanese linguistics education in the introductory, basic, cursive, and more widely used form of kana (syllabary) in Japanese.

Rationale
This artifact demonstrates the ability to understand interactive multimedia components and understand and implement design techniques. It combines a variety of media to enhance understanding, including videos, animations, self-assessment quizzes, and interactive charts. It includes accessibility features such as read-aloud functionality for students with visual impairments.
