Design of Learning Environments

Online Course Proposal
Description
In this group project, members worked together to develop an online course proposal. The proposal includes four components: a design plan, a theoretical foundation paper, a presentation, and individual considerations.

Rationale
The project examined theory, research, and practice in designing, developing, and evaluating online learning environments, including distance and blended learning approaches. The theory and research related to online learning environments were read in-depth for this project. Through this project, I have gained experience designing online courses that reflect relevant reading. The knowledge gained through the project is essential for the professional practice of teaching technology, teaching design, and teaching technology dealing with all kinds of distance configurations.

This artifact was created in collaboration with Benjamin M. Guyer and Wendy Smith.
Train the Trainer Presentation
Description
I have created a presentation on culturally bound digital technology selected from research topics on current trends in instructional design. The presentation uses the Articulate Rise course as presentation material and is a standalone product. Through this digital content, research-based information sharing on current trends is possible. This course was designed with an instructional designer as the primary learner.

Rationale
Through this project, I had the opportunity to present key ideas and practices related to various trends in instructional design and technology. I also gained knowledge about how the key ideas and practices associated with particular trends could be applied in particular situations. Understanding current research-based trends in education technology is directly related to designing and developing instructions that keep pace with the times.
