About Me

I am a master's candidate in Instructional Technology at the University of Tennessee. I am also a lecturer in the Japanese Program in the Department of World Languages and Cultures, College of Art and Science at the University of Tennessee. I aim to become an instructional designer, technologist, and developer responsible for opening online courses for learning the Japanese language after graduation.
Professional Goals

My professional goal is to help people understand the purpose of their learning and achieve it. It may not be necessary to talk about the importance of education anymore. Every time the news reports on conflicts and poverty around the world, the significance of education is emphasized. Even for those in an environment where they do not have to worry about tomorrow, it is essential to establish fundamental knowledge and continue education to develop humankind further and help those in need.
Work History

I have worked as an instructor at East Tennessee Japanese School since 2007. I started teaching as a first-grade teacher, teaching math and Japanese to middle and high schoolers. In the meantime, I have worked in a Japanese program as a lecturer in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at UT since 2019. My studies and experiences as an instructor and instructional designer have given me the essential software and technology skills.
